We had some fresh strawberries from the Farmer’s Market and the fragrant smell inspired a delicious pie. Buying local is a great way to support your community while making your baking/cooking extra tasty!

Ingredients:

crust:
1 1/2 cup butter
3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
~ 1/2 cup apple sauce

filling:
1 1/2 lbs strawberries
1/4 cup sugar

Method

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Mix together butter (soft), flour and sugar. Gradually add in apple sauce as required. Grease a pie dish with butter, roll out the dough and form your pie shell. Slice strawberries and mix with sugar. Add filling to pie then roll out the remaining dough and cover your pie. Use any extra dough to decorate, we made a heart! Make slits in the top of the pie so steam can escape. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream and tea!

This shirt literally took us a minute! We love the slouchy, ragged look and the easy wear!

1. Find an old, oversized t-shirt.

2. Trace your chosen shape with a sharpie. We cropped the front of the shirt and added a flattering, low back.

3. Cut along the lines with a good pair of fabric sheers (we used Gingher), try the shirt on and make any desired alterations!

xx
