I just wanted to share one of my favorite bands at the moment The Lumineers. I can’t stop listening to them, each song of theirs is so different. Their entire album is amazing, my favorite track is called slow it down. You can have a listen down below! Hope you enjoy!
Currently I have a moleskin notebook sitting on my desk chalked full of lists and ideas. Another half dozen notebooks (in various stages of completion) can be found throughout my house, each with the same disorganized yet inspiring content. With all these ideas coming and going through my head I don’t even know where to begin. If you have an over creative mind like myself, here are a few of my tips to help channel this energy and focus on the task at hand.
-Simplicity is the key. Having one moleskin notebook, a clear desk and a cup of camomille tea can seriously bring order to a cluttered mind.
- Don’t let the day get away from you, start early with a healthy breakfast and exercise. By kick-starting your morning like this you will stay motivated throughout the day.
- Keep your workspace clean! Clutter can weigh heavy on your subconscious, inhibiting one of your most powerful toolsets. A clean kitchen can inspire delicious baking and creative meals.
- Eat veggies and protein (a lot). When my energy begins to fade, my first response is to make this snack of delicious yogurt and blueberries, effectively recharging my brain and stamina.
This song can put my mind at ease, hope you like!
Hope these tips help, if you have any suggestions would love to hear them!
Here is one of my favorite songs of this summer. With only one week left in August, I thought I would share my top five favorite things of summer 2012.
1. Spur of the moment BBQ’s with friends.
2. Windsurfing all day and then eating a huge plate of mexican for dinner, followed by ice cream.
3. Stopping for a berry snack on many afternoon trail runs.
4. The warm, beautiful sunshine that allows for wearing dresses on a daily basis.
5. Water (watermelon, water sports, iced water, any type of water)
Lately there has been one artist on my ipod that I have had on repeat for the last couple of weeks; his name is Ed Sheeran. When I first heard “Lego house,” I went onto youtube and listened to every rendition of the song… it is so beautiful acoustically. My other favorites include; “Small Bump”, “Drunk”, and of course, “A-Team”. This artist has amazing talent and I could listen to his voice for the rest of my life. Here is the song that made me fall in love with Ed. Enjoy!!
I have been in love with the photography of Nick Onken. He has an amazing portfolio including a unique style of beach photography from which I draw so much inspiration. I am in awe of artists like Nick who can capture an emotion and convey it so effectively through photography.
Here is a nice song to go with this photo by an up and coming Canadian artist, Digits! Sooo Good!
Heres my first playlist on 8tracks. Give it a listen here! I have had these songs on replay for the last couple weeks and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
