Maxi dresses are huge this year! I changed up this one from Vero Moda by throwing over a Free People shirt. I love this look paired with sweet little jewellery from Forever 21 and some good ol’ Frye boots! There is something raw and free about this style. I had a nagging urge to ride a wild horse or trudge through mud puddles!
Gorgeous!! And I love the scenery behind you too! Are you in Colorado? And who do you get to take your fashion photos? I want to start doing an outfit thing too…but sometimes its hard to find a place to do it w/o people around. What are your tips?
Hi Jasanna! Thank you this means so much! We take our own photos and honestly we are still trying to figure it all out. I think one of the biggest changes you can make in trying for a profesional shot is playing with depth of field (having only your subject in focus and background blurring). This is a combination of your both your lens and the aperture of your camera and may involve an initial investment. As for finding a place and taking the actual shoot: We live in Canmore AB, so we try to play up the mountain/river valley scenery but basically I think find a few spots in your area that photograph well (simple backgrounds work well for showcasing dresses) and then make sure your having fun! The first few shots will be awkward but once you embrace the shoot and relax your blogworthy shots will start to come through. Check this out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAs64R8jqwo Good luck!
Love this look!
I love this whole look! Throwing a t-shirt over a maxi dress – why didn’t I think of that! I really like the way you styled your hair with this look, a little imperfect on purpose!
Beautiful job! I love the concept of incorporating an ultra fem top w/ the maxi dress! LOVE the boots. Beautiful photography!!
You look like Dakota Fanning in those pictures! 😀
